AGAINST ONE OF THE STATE KILLERS
As promised in these here news pages yesterday, FRAMINGO are delighted to confirm that one of our favourite hard-rockin.. bands on the circuit, AGAINST ONE OF THE STATE KILLERS, have kindly climbed on board as special guests of the LITTLE JOHN ROCKET launch bash at NICE N SLEAZY on 9th May! The enigmatic foursome will join Airdrie based THE REGIMENT on the bill at the legendary venue prior to LJR bringing the evening to a frantic climax. IT`S A LONG WAY …TO THE TOP IF YOU WANNA ROCK`N`ROLL
FRAMINGO are saddened to report that erstwhile LITTLE JOHN ROCKET launch gig support persons, THE LONG WALK HOME , have thrown in the proverbial towel and have disbanded little over a fortnight before THE gig of the year at SLEAZY..S on MAY 9 th!! Details for the demise are a tad scant, with conjecture surrounding the scenarios behind the split ranging from the rather lame "musical differences" to the more realistic, and almost certainly more accurate "we hate each other, we're mince and we're going nowhere!" Whatever the reasoning , it would appear the guys have got lost somewhere on the long way home …We at FRAMINGO wish them all the best on their chosen career paths
In the meantime , the wild and wacky world of Rock..n..Roll waits for no one and FRAMINGO have a couple of irons in the fire to ensure the LJR launch doo has a suitable replacement act in place prior to GLASGOW R**G*RS being despatched from the UEFA CUP …i.e before ten tomorrow night! ……Stay tuned pop pickers and we'll have the details of the chosen ones up on site before you can say "It's A Long Way To Tipperary"…. sad, very sad xxxxxx

WHAT A SHITTEY AWAY SUPPORT …………….
At FRAMINGO we pride ourselves on our unstinting belief and support in the underdog. So it was therefore with a tear in our collective eyes that around 4:15pm Sunday 13th April 2008 we bade farewell to our dream of seeing the mighty PARTICK THISTLE bringing the Scottish Cup home to Maryhill. For it was a totally duff penalty kick by SID OWEN which extinguished our dreams as he scuffed the leather past the post of the advancing tabloid Lothario McGregor ….A brave effort by Corky`s boys in RED & YELLOW, just a pity it all went a bit PETE TONG …Still, The JAGS support was simply superb, putting the fascist hordes in red, white and blue to shame! All we can hope is that the Tractor Boys from Perth have a better Sabbath than us this weekend & our Italian friends from FLORENCE have a glorious Thursday next week! Sour grapes? Not us surely!!

What with impending Cup Quarter Final replays, soon to be released chart-topping SINGLE'S and negotiations on the film score front with KEN RUSSELL'S people, FRAMINGO have been a tad amiss in publishing details of the up and coming LJR, new single Basement, launch gig in May! SUMMER TIME AND THE LIVIN` s EASY ……..
Now that the clocks have moved forward and the wettest winter since, .. Well, the last wettest winter ever, has now hopefully passed us by, FRAMINGO are delighted to welcome all our music-loving fans old and new to a new summer season full of expectation, excitement and chart –topping rock n roll shenanigans!
As we promised last week , we are releasing TWO …yes 2… singles over the next few weeks. So get those filo-fax things to the fore and get these dates noted down….
MONDAY 12TH MAY …..And the long awaited stunning 3-Track single from those megastars LITTLE JOHN ROCKET featuring BASEMENT, FORGET ABOUT US and bonus track AT AN END will hit the record stores …(stay tuned for confirmation of the release and details of all the fun to be had at NICE N SLEAZY on 9TH MAY .for the Basement launch night ……a date NOT TO BE MISSED!!! )

THUNDERBIRDS ARE GO!!!
After a bit of a quiet period over the last few weeks, FRAMINGO are once again getting our proverbial hoops cocked with excitement in light of events and goings on over the coming weeks and months!! We are now firming up details for the use of FRAMINGO music as soundtracks on the forthcoming celluloid- outpourings by the maestro known as KEN RUSSELL . As previously narrated in these here despatches , the reel is currently nearing post-production on his latest masterpiece which we are pleased to report is scheduled to be touted around the beaches & pubs of CANNES in the summer months. The ever hopeful FRAMINGO brothers are looking out there bucket n spades and FRENCH phrasebooks as we speak in the expectation of a summer sojourn to southern France. The fact that British cinematic legend KEN RUSSELL is involved in the movie in an EXECUTIVE PRODUCER type capacity augers well for Mr SLOSS`s latest project..

ONE TEAM IN GLASGOW, THERE`S ONLY ONE TEAM IN GLASGOW!!!!!!
Ok, it's taken us a few days to come back down to earth , but who could blame FRAMINGO after the events at CASTLE DOOM on the Southside of Glasgow last Wednesday evening…. imagine the scene, if you will, around ten past nine, 3,000 Jags Fans hemmed in by 35,000 Bluenoses … Thistle sweep up field , a slick passing movement not dis-similar to that made popular by BRAZIL vintage circa 1970 World Cup , culminating in Mr GRAY despatching the round leather into the R**GER* net…. ONE NIL TO THE JAGS! Oh how we celebrated, 3,000 Jags fans were as one. …Watch it here and savour the sheer unadulterated joy

LJR SET TUT'S ALIGHT!
It's not often that FRAMINGO are left stunned and elated into the wee small hours of a Sunday night, but last night proved THE exception to THAT rule! This was supposed to be a showcase for U.S. Indie-pop protagonists THE MATCHES to promote their latest album release……but just as SCOTLAND had put ENGLAND to the sword on Saturday, so too did the mighty LITTLE JOHN ROCKET propel the Californian quartet westwards “tae think again!” Being first on the bill can usually be daunting enough, but with the legendary venue close to capacity shortly before 9pm, it was little wonder LJR were feeling pre-gig nerves! They shouldn't have concerned themselves, however, as the succeeding 30 minutes proved to be one of the most stunning sets played in the GLASWEGIAN venue probably since the GALLAGHER brothers so famously got their act together there ….. AT AN END kicked things off and the tantalizing build up and new arrangement simply captivated fans and converts alike! Straight into FORGET ABOUT US and then followed future classics including the ever popular NURMBERG ensured the packed audience were not tempted to return to the basement bar or nip out into the wilds for a quick fag! This was as good as the guys have performed to date and is evidence, if evidence were needed, that LJR have what it takes to go all the way in this crazy Rock N Roll World! New single BASEMENT received a rapturous response all which augers well for its APRIL release! And then they were gone ….but the response was such that an encore would not have been out of place! With a performance like this under their belts, we simply can't wait to catch the guy's next performance …stay tuned to Framingo for developments and news of forthcoming gigs and releases ….
THE MATCHES? Strike a light ,mate…. LJR were the only luminaries on show! Xxx

HONG KONGYWOOD BECKONS!
Bizarre as it may seem, FRAMINGO are in discussions with innovative Hong Kong based film-maker MARK SLOSS who is currently in WALES working on his latest project. Negotiations are a tad hush- hush at the moment but essentially MARK is a big fan of FRAMINGO and is keen to utilise a number of our glorious tracks in his on-going celluloid musings! He also happens to be the erstwhile chanter- extraordinaire of Glaswegian legends SILENT COMMAND! Check out FRAMINGO imprint label HELLFIRE DISCS for all the background gen! Two New Releases For April!!
Framingo are pleased to announce the release of not one but two singles this coming April. First up will be Basement the long awaited debut by those celebrities in waiting, Little John Rocket . Recorded at The Doghouse & produced by the suave & enigmatic Rico it is a certain knockout!! Backed by Forget About Us the CD release will also be accompanied by a couple of wee surprise tracks. How generous are we?? Second up will be the third Framingo release from those South London megastars The Skuzzies!! Following their sold out show at Alan McGee's Borderline last Friday we have been swamped by you all asking when the next release will be. Now you know, Dissatisfied backed with, the Gordon Raphael produced; Psychosexual will hit the streets at the end of April. Once again the CD release will have a couple of surprise tracks along with video & photo extras…What a corker that promises to be!! So stay tuned to Framingo my friends for updates & extras!! GREEK TRAGEDY ONLY DELAYS CUP RETURN ….
For those of you following events PARTICK THISTLE stylee, like us here at FRAMINGO TOWERS, you are no doubt even more peeved than VIC REEVES was at that lovee, back slapping, sycophantic, BRITS when accosted by the hideous OSBORNE wummin with events in the land of The Acropolis last night. The upshot of a somewhat fortuitous 1-1 draw by the team from the Necropolis means that our big day out slaying either R*nG**rs or the HIBBYS in the quarter final of the Scottish cup, will be delayed until WEDNESDAY 19 th MARCH, some 11 days after the rest of the country have enjoyed what is generally accepted as one of THE big weekends on the Scottish footballing calendar. So as usual, the TRUE fans, the LOYAL FANS (i.e. anyone who essentially isn`t a glory hunting supporter of either half of the Gruesome Twosome!! ) is cast aside and treated with contempt by the footballing hierarchy fuckers (I.E- The Old F*C*ING FIRM! )…Never fear, for we will be there on mass come judgement day, be it IBROX or EASTER ROAD …our name IS on that cup, WE WILL NOT BE DENIED!!!!!

THE BRITS….AN APOLOGY
The Brits, as most self-respecting lover of music will happily confess, are a total sham and only serve to promote the hitherto unchartered waters of blandness and mediocrity that is the current "music scene" in the UK. Why bother getting up tight about it all? Since the controlling elements of the industry closed all the loopholes to creativity, which placed it under threat for about 15 minutes circa 1976, music in this country has been a dead duck. Where is the passion, the rebellion ...or even a decent tune or two? What is the purpose of Mika? Is it just us or is K Minogue essentially a heavily disguised Smurf in gold hot- pants (. miming , what is that all about!! ) Guess the only saving grace about last nights shite shebang was the absence of those cutting-edge stalwarts "The Feeling"....nurse, the screens please ................01.02.08
SCOTTISH CUP RETURNING TO RIGHTFUL HOME!!
It's been a while since we at FRAMINGO raised the profile of the Mighty PARTICK THISTLE, but the time has now arrived to get involved in some well overdue profile raising! Tomorrow is the 5th round of THE SCOTTISH CUP and FIRHILL`S FINEST make the short journey east to put erstwhile farmers LIVINGSTON to the sword!! And FRAMINGO has had a dream! Hopefully, the QHEENS The South from will be our quarter-final victims with BUDDIES frae Paisley being despatched back up the M8 in the Semis …leaving the relatively straight- forward task of giving one of Glasgow's weaker teams, R*NG*RS or CE*LT*C a right good doing in the Grand FINAL at HAMPDEN come MAY!! (and just in time to coincide with LJR, PROJEKT KOTELETT and THE SKUZZIES being added to the PYRAMID STAGE line-up for GLASTONBURRRRY!!)
The Scottish Cup is coming home to MARYHILL!!! …Trust us!! xxxxxxxxx
