The long hot summer of `06 hit new hights at the weekend with the staging of the second “ KELVIN-GROOVE “ festival at the eponymous park in Glasgow`s West End. The entire FRAMINGO clan were in attendance to witness what was a simply electrifying set from FRAMINGO stalwarts LI`LZE . The ZE had the large and excitable crowd on their feet from the opening chords of their first song. Despite the heavy handed presence of Mr Plod, the up-beat party atmosphere continued and The Ze left the stage to rapturous applause. With ZIDANE`S balding bonce still bearing the scars of THAT most famous of Glasgow kisses, it seems hard to believe that we stand at the cusp of the new footie season…. But we at FRAMINGO can't wait! Roll on 5 th August when the Mighty Jags take on Dundee and Uncle Fester`s troops start their assault on the First Division. With 9 new faces to chose from, including former internationalist SIMON DONNELLY, this promises to be a brill season up Maryhill way……FRAMINGO wishes Uncle F and the lads all the best for the campaign ahead…….

ANDY FRAMINGO has just returned from a trip to Hamburg where he caught up with the mighty PROJEKT KOTELETT …. And took in the latter stages of the Weltmeistershaft (that s World Cup to the rest of us!) The lads were in fine fettle despite the host nation's premature exit from the tournament (check out our gallery page for the evidence squire!) ANDY picked up some new recordings from the band, which he considers to be amongst their best ever! This all augers well for the bands visit to these shores for a couple of gigs in November…lock up your hamsters and stay tuned for ticket details!!

29/06/06 What a night was had by all at the Framingo Launch bash @ Nice`n`Sleazy last night! Our metatarsals are still throbbing after 3 stonking sets by the finest trio of bands the legendary Glasgow venue has witnessed in many a year!
First up, ACUTE RIOT, who won over the near capacity crowd that crammed in to the venue with their straight forward, no nonsense rock fusing influences from the Clash to the Libertines. An exciting prospect for the future, make no mistake.
FOOLS CIRCLE never fail to deliver and this performance was as good as any the bands legions of fans have witnessed! Showcasing all 4 tracks from their forthcoming Framingo debut BLACKPOOL TOWER EP (released August `06) this Ayrshire quintet are clearly destined for big things.....
LI`l ZE,who were launching their DANGEROUS EP (Ming 02 released 03/07/06) had the crowd eating from the palms of their paws. The trio of Rock/Dance exponents never looked back after taking to the stage shortly before 11pm and left the packed venue baying for more after a simply stunning set. Limited numbers of the debut EP sold out on the night...so the rest of the planet must wait until 03/07/06 to get to grips with the sound sweeping the nation by ordering direct from the shop.

Forget about punk rockers with flowers in their hair ( a tedious sentiment if ever there was one but, hey, this is what FRAMINGO are up against !)…Get your collective bahookies away from the World cup on telly and along to NICE’N ‘SLEAZIES, GLASGOW on WEDNEDAY 28th JUNE and catch the FRAMINGO launch night for the mighty LI’L ZE who will be blowing up a storm along with label-mates FOOLS CIRCLE. Mark the date in your diary NOW my friends, and ignore previous suggestions that the launch is at Barfly on 30th June…. Its true the mighty ZE are playing that gig and it too will be a blast….. But the 28th is when it all takes off! Zidane, Ballack, Henri and Crouch(What the ………….?) Who needs them when LI`L Ze are in town????? Ticket details and final line-up will be confirmed shortly....

Framingo are cock-a hoop once again with the news that the magnificent Fools Circle have finally committed themselves to joining the Framingo revolution. After much chasing & cajoling the five lads from Ayrshire will be quickly into the recording studios in June laying down some tracks for the Ming 03 release around late July. Framingo know this will be absolutely fab so keep checking back for details & tell your friends where you heard it first!!!

If the rehearsal sessions are anything to go by, DANGEROUS EP by the Glasgow 3-piece,(due for release in June`06) is going to be a stormer, and no mistake !!! FRAMINGO breathed a monumental sigh of relief around 4.50pm today as the mighty Jags eased themselves in the Division 2 play –off final. Lets hope they can over-come this season’s jinx team from that somewhat quaint fishing village up north and secure an unlikely berth in the first Division. We’ll be blasting out CHEERLEADER on the car hi-fi on the journey north next Sunday…lock up your sheep !!!!!
