PLEASE RELEASE ME…10TH SEPTEMBER ‘07
FRAMINGO are pleased to confirm the release of the eagerly awaited debuts by latest signings LITTLE JOHN ROCKET & THE SKUZZIES!!! Out on MONDAY 10TH SEPTEMBER 2007. The STRICTLY LIMITED EDITION split 7-inch single will be a cracker, featuring “AT AN END”, by LITTLE JOHN ROCKET , produced by the legendary RICO and “ICE COLD” by THE SKUZZIES , produced by the also legendary GORDON RAPHAEL!! Given the quality of the tracks and those behind the knob twiddling , this latest FRAMINGO release (MING 06) is sure to be our best yet & will most certainly fly off the shelves! ROCKING ROCKETS at SLEAZYS…
FRAMINGO brothers ANDY & ALDO woke to yet another well-deserved hangover this morning after a night on the town with the guys from LITTLE JOHN ROCKET! With SILVER flying in from NEWYORK (how rock n roll is that?) to put pen to the FRAMINGO contract, the remaining band members GEEK, CUB, ROSSTER & MAJOR met up with him and the FRAMINGO guys at NICE N SLEAZY …once the paperwork was out the way a night of excess was enjoyed by one and all!!… Clubbing, 6AM, champagne, & a Police raid were part of the night but hey that's for the tabloids!!19.07.07

BORN TO ROCK!
Now that the dust is slowly beginning to settle on the events of the last few days , FRAMINGO have been able to take stock and relive the stunning show by THE SKUZZIES at THE METRO CLUB, LONDON last Saturday …. and what a performance it was! The Oxford Street venue was packed to capacity with expectant Skuzzy fans growing impatient before our guys finally hit the stage around 10:30. And their patience was more than adequately rewarded. CROOKED J . revved up the guitars and the band were straight into ICE COLD before those of us up front could catch our breath ! Crowd favourite THE DEVIL YOU KNOW kept the momentum going and it was little wonder ROCCO , the legend that remains the force behind WASTED YOUTH & FLESH 4 LULU was spied by FRAMINGO nodding appreciation stagewards. The REGGAE influenced MY WINGS is a grower and was appreciated by the inhabitants of the mosh pit down the front. THE ANTHEM is a straight-ahead rocker which sets the venue alight …. a breath of fresh air in this day of cardigan wearing apologists for musicians (…you know the type, Snooze Patrol, CASHabian etc!). The band really kick-in once guitarist FEDERICO has stripped down to the waist and with JULIAN'S tantalising bass play and NICK LE WEST providing a back-beat of supreme quality on the skins, SHACKLES and the stunning closing number SHOTGUN ROMANCE provide evidence , if evidence were needed, that THE SKUZZIES are going all the way!! SIMPLY BORN TO ROCK…..

FRAMINGO DOUBLE SIGNING COUP!!!
Forget about those parasites THE BECKHAMS landing in LA… FRAMINGO RECORDS are making the headlines where it matters …and as promised, we are totally cocking our proverbial hoops to announce the double signing of LONDON based THE SKUZZIES and GLASGOW`S very own LITTLE JOHN ROCKET!
The media and music fraternity have trailed the four- piece SKUZZIES, managed by JOHNNY THUNDERS biographer NINA ANTONIA, down south for months and it is therefore a major coup indeed for us here at FRAMINGO. ALDO @ANDY FRAMINGO caught the guys live at THE METRO club in the heart of London Town at the weekend (full review to follow but check out some images here) …and they didn't disappoint! A rip-roaring eight-song set confirmed the label's initial delight in the interest shown in the band and a deal was signed, sealed and delivered before the end of the night . Stay tuned on a daily basis to learn of the exciting GORDON RAPHAEL ( The STROKES ) produced debut single out soon on FRAMINGO and live performances and recordings…
And if that wasn't enough , GLASGOW`S very own LITTLE JOHN ROCKET have signed on the dotted line with FRAMINGO! Absolutely fantastic or What!… After months of negotiation , the RICO ( GARY NUMAN/TRICKY ..Need we say more? ) produced five-piece have agreed a deal which will also see a single released in the very near future …. And we simply can't wait to see these two massive acts hit the stage in Glasgow!
So what have these two stunning acts got in common?.. A few clues? How about these for starters ……JOHNNY THUNDERS, THE ONLY ONES, BABYSHAMBLES, STROKES, NINA ANTONIA, NEW YORK DOLLS, PETE DOCHERTY, RICO,….decent ROCK'NROLL!!!

Excitement at FRAMINGO Towers reached fever pitch this week as negotiaons with TWO ..Yes TWO top acts reached the final stages …both acts are keen to work with the country`s most vibrant label so stay tuned for a MASSIVE announcement with in the next few days! …. CARDIGANS Ain't COOL…..TRUST US !!
Whilst scanning the TV over the course of the weekend, FRAMINGO came across the annual mud fest for trench- warfare revivalists that is GLASTONBURY …We could be here for decades decrying the state of the current music scene ( FRAMINGO LAND excluded!)…But lets just highlight one point…. CARDIGANS AND ROCK N ROLL will never, EVER be COOL!!! That lead singer bloke out of KASABIAN ….sporting one of Grandma`s old cardigans live on the pyramid stage thingy? …so very sad …..Give us IGGY POP writhing around semi-nude in the mud any day, my friends!!!!

In a music world littered with false dawns , over- inflated egos and ageing hippies (still!!), its nice to know that FRAMINGO have the health of the nation at heart! To this end, we are pleased to confirm that we are currently in discussions with a local Glasgow-based combo who float our boat to a degree not experienced for many a moon!! Sorry folks , that`s a typical FRAMINGO tirade aimed at those Twonks in the Big Brother house (.Heaven forbid!)…No, its the refrain ringing in the collective ears of the whole FRAMINGO crew after last nights stunning gig by none other than “THE ONLY ONES” @The Garage.. What a stunning band they are! Masterful tunesmithery , quality lyrics and a lead singer who has clearly been there, seen it and done it to excess! …Cheers for making one last trip north Peter & the guys music like this makes it all worthwhile! … Take note all you young gunslingers out there!

No , that's NOT the score of next seasons titanic battle at Fir-park on a cold Tuesday evening next February .. It's the FRAMINGO prediction of the attendance!!! Good luck to GRETNA, there going to need it!! (And a mini-bus for that travelling support! )…The First Division is THE place to be next season, what with the great bottlers M*RT*N finally making the great leap forward. And the likelihood of the SAINTS going marching down…we at FRAMINGO just can't wait for JULY!! …And with the PLIMSOLE KID the front-runner to become the new Jags gaffer , it is all boding well!!!!

NEW TALENT AHEAD
It's all a tad hush hush , but FRAMINGO have approached one or two likely suspects for forthcoming releases. Negotiations are at an early stage, but look out for one or two exciting announcements over the coming weeks .
