ACUTE RIOT set to storm the charts…….
After playing a blinder last night at NICE N SLEAZY , (check out the review) the thoughts` of the band have turned to the forthcoming release on FRAMINGO of their debut single RIOT EYES C/W BURN BLONDIE BURN . Given the level of interest in the guys, its little wonder they are seriously thinking of making an impression in the singles charts ! With the recent “moving of the goal-posts” viz. a viz. eligibility of tracks for chart purposes, its little wonder the RIOTERS are getting excited…Where`s TOP OF THE POPS when you need it, we say…..Stay tuned pop-pickers for confirmation of the eagerly awaited release date…

FRAMINGO upstarts start Riot!
If you were THERE (there being NICE n SLEAZY 19 th January 2007! ) you'll already be bragging to all and sundry about the stonking start to 2007! And if you weren't there…. WHY NOT?
By the time the doors opened at the famous Glasgow venue , the queues of eager punters snaked from the gig doors right upstairs to the main bar…this was by far THE hot ticket last weekend!!
First up were AGAINST ONE OF THE STATE KILLERS, a band hotly tipped by non other than RONAN @LA CHUNKY STUDIOS . The rock-based quartet caught the imagination of the early comers with their heavy but melodic anthems which provide a welcome change from the standard fare often heard down Sleazy`s way……….
With the fanatical MODE ARMY pushing the venue's 150 capacity to its limit , it wasn't long before their heroes THE MODE were in full swing. With a blend of classic rock/indie influences and a charismatic front man at the helm, it comes as no surprise to FRAMINGO that these guys are attracting serious interest from one or two majors… good luck with the forthcoming tour guys!
ACUTE RIOT took to the stage shortly after half- ten to a heroes welcome…. Bursting straight into BURN BLONDIE BURN (a track from their forthcoming double A side single ), the RIOT reminded us all at FRAMINGO why we love them so much…cracking tunes, youthful exuberance and a cockiness which belies their combined ages of 49(surely shum mishtake ? ) ..Finishing of an all too short set with DOWN AND OUT , the RIOTERS are steering a steady path to fame, fortune and the recognition they deserve…
A truly remarkable evening for which FRAMINGO extends a big “ta very much “ to all concerned, the Bands, the staff at Sleazy`s .. And all those terrific punters !!!!

MERRY RIOT-MAS from FRAMINGO
Just taking a five minute breather from a hectic last couple of months to wish all our fans and devotees a simply smashing festive period! What with Li'lzé continuing to attract attention following the vinyl success of WHY? And those young reprobates ACUTE RIOT straining at the leash to take 2007 by storm , all in all there's much to be happy with and to look forward to ….. ACUTE-HANGOVERS
We at FRAMINGO Towers simply CANNOT wait until February when the first ACUTE RIOT single is released! Framingo were privileged to be present at LA CHUNKY TOWERS last night where together with next year's big thing (ACUTE RIOT don't ya know!!) And the supremely talented producers RONAN & COLIN , the final mix of RIOT EYES was put to bed ! …. It's simply the most exciting track Framingo have heard in eons! Suffice to say, the post –mix celebrations went on into the wee small hours …Stay tuned for more info on the release…and make sure FRIDAY 19th JANUARY at Glasgow NICE N SLEAZY is in yer diary and catch THE RIOT before they go stellar!!!

DOWNLOADS R US!
Let it not be said that we at FRAMINGO frown upon the use of modern technology out there…We have now finalised the necessary legal stuff to enable DOWNLOADING of FRAMINGO music!! Yes indeed, subject to powers that be pushing the necessary buttons , downloads of all our releases will be available from I-TUNES, NAPSTER and a whole wad of other sites around the start of JANUARY 2007 !!! Stay tuned for the necessary details and links!!

Wow!! What at night at the Capitol gig to launch the Li'lzé single Why? Framingo were in heaven with the quality on display. Opening were the magical sounds of commander keen with their atmospheric sound akin to floating over the Icelandic coastline with nothing but peace & tranquillity . Well that's how someone in the crowd compared them with. Absolutely super start to the night!! Then there appeared the wonders that are The Retrosexuals!!! Where have this band been hiding all these years??? A three piece that can fair blast out a great little number & the crowd lapped them up. Finishing their set with the fantastic new single Telephone we at Framingo just wished they were on longer . Fantastic trio who can only be mega real soon….
Then came the piece de resistance ..The party hosts & legend that are Li'lzé . Their best set yet & a sound that many would die for. A big loss though that Chris could not make it… get well soon my friend…but their stand in bass player filled that sound out magnificently. A short set but quality throughout. Why sounded better than it ever did & Built to Ride the crowd favourite was majestic . This band are destined to the top & the night was topped off by the new single being playlisted on Xfm... superb!!
A mention has to be made to the DJ clash between Aldo & Davie on the decks between bands & at end of night. We at Framingo are honest enough to admit Davie won The Clash on the night with his spinning of Russ Abbot & Atmosphere!!! Well-done Davie!!
Framingo have to extend thanks to everyone who turned up on the night to make it one to remember. Acute Riot are on the march again. Chosen to play two weekends in a row at The BIG REUNION FESTIVAL , in Skegness (Butlins for a Riot!!) 25 th Nov & 2 nd Dec alongside THE SUBWAYS, THE RAKES, THE DATSUNS, THE LONG BLONDES, THE YOUNG KNIVES, THE NOISETTES, THE HOLLOWAYS AND THE PADDINGTONS. This band will be huge so make sure you are around to hear their debut single on Framingo this February!!!!
