NOW THAT'S WHAT WE CALL PROPER ROCK N ROLL MUSIC Vol 1 !!!
If like us at FRAMINGO you're a veteran of more summers than you care to remember, you will no doubt recall the heady excitement which precipitated the release of those early COMPILATION albums by such legendary labels as K-TEL & RONCO! Like WOOLIES (where theses releases had their spiritual home) these labels now only exist in our sadly fading memory banks along with proper summers, footballers with no little skill & panache and a music scene positively awash with genuine talent!
FEAR NOT, however our musical cherubs for your very own self-appointed saviours of all things Rock n roll are yet again at hand to save the day! Yes indeed, as FRAMINGO advance steadfastly into our fourth year, we are proud to announce that our very own COMPILATION ALBUM featuring Framingo artists together with exclusive tracks from friends of the label is now in production. As well as including rarities and re-mixes, the album will be a MUST collector's item for all FRAMINGO aficionados out there! Release of this monumental epic is currently scheduled for late MARCH this year so stay tuned for pointers and tasters over the coming weeks! HOORAY FOR HOLLYWOOD!
We can at last reveal that FRAMINGO stalwarts FOOLS CIRCLE will feature heavily on the soundtrack of the soon to be released ROUNDING UP DONKEYS, a feature length movie currently in post production & being brought to you by Scotland's very own SIGMA FILMS (Oscar Wants to Kill Himself & Hallem Foe). Directed by BAFTA winner MORAG MCKINNON, the force behind the critically acclaimed RED ROAD, the movie is already being touted as a contender for major honours when the next round of industry gongs come up for grabs! The soundtrack will feature the fabulous INSIDE THE MOMENT as well as GOODBYE & SEE WOT YOU FEEL by the Ayrshire tunesmiths. All the tracks of course feature on the BLACKPOOL TOWER E.P. (Ming03), still available to purchase from the Framingo shop!
The release date for this much anticipated screen gem has not as yet been confirmed but you will be the first to find out all the juicy details as soon as we have them!

FRAMINGO were last week saddened to learn of the death of RON ASHETON, erstwhile legendary STOOGES guitar slinger. A stripling of a mere 60 summers, Ron provided the blueprint for grungy guitar rock aficionados through the decades. In a week when rumours abound regarding his group leader MR IGGY OF POP having been sighted sharing a three ball on the golf course with LOU REED & ALICE COOPER,(an image we never thought would EVER entertain in our minds! ),these are indeed desperate times in the heady world of Rock n Roll!
Only FRAMINGO can guide you through the quagmire and lead you to redemption through honesty, traditional Rock n roll values and a bucket load of decent act along the way! KEEP IT FRAMINGO OUR FRIENDS!

SOUNDTRACK OF OUR MINDS
As we have hinted at, we have now finalised outstanding legal issues relating to the use of THREE TRACKS by a certain FRAMINGO ARTIST in a forthcoming FEATURE MOVIE produced by Scotland's most successful & prominent independent Film Company! A full press release will be issued within the next few weeks once the release date has been confirmed. Needless to say, although we have cocked our hoops many times in the past, this exciting development has us cocking them as never before, missus!! The tuxedos are already being sourced from E-BAY with the promise of red carpet shenanigans & potential HOLLYWOOD visitations on the cards; such is the calibre of the production in question!!! WE KID YOU NOT!!

DIRTY ROTTON SCOUNDREL!
Yes indeedy , as some of the sharper members of our fan club out there may have clocked, there has been a slight delay in announcing the winner in our CHRIMBO COMPY '08! Please accept our sincere apologies for this delay brought about entirely through over indulgence in the falling down juice over the last couple of weeks! Needless to say, the winner has already been notified directly & the sumptuous prize including EXCLUSIVE CLEAR VINYL 45 featuring LJR & THE SKUZZIES & the ubiquitous FRAMINGO GOODY BAG is winging its way as we speak to NATHAN GREEN . Nathan, who originally hails from DERBY , is now ensconced in the fair city of AMSTERDAM where he plies his trade as a DJ ! Keep spinning those FRAMINGO sounds, Nathan! The correct answer was of course JOHNNY ROTTEN ….the cad! Tough luck & commiserations to all those of you who took the time & effort to enter ……better luck next time & all that malarkey!

As FRAMINGO get set to enter our 4th year in our quest to SAVE THE FUTURE OF ROCK ‘n' ROLL , we take this opportunity to wish all our acts, our friends, partners , family & friends out there in music land all the very best for the year ahead! May all your dreams come to fruition & may you all live long & prosper …or something like that! Here at FRAMINGO TOWERS plans are well advanced for the BIG LEAP FORWARD © this year, but don't hold your breaths for indications that we've become followers of that Chairman MAO bloke…..No, what we have in store is even more earth shattering & more likely to cause a shift in global politics than some old geezer did in CHINA a few decades back.

“BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE WE ROCK `N` ROLLED”
Greeeeeeeeeetings Framingoites & associated friends! Rumours of our demise that have been circulating in recent weeks couldn't be further from the truth! In fact, all things FRAMINGO are now moving apace quicker than you can kick a botox infused z-list celeb out the Jungle!
Unfortunately, our hopes of an October release were dashed when the band concerned decided to call it a day and our plans were well & truly gubbed! Never fear, however, for all our efforts are now being concentrated in new and exciting areas….stay with us over the next few days for more info but suffice to say HOLLYWOOD is calling!!

Ho, ho ho ….It is indeed that time of the year once again when thoughts turn to the big fat bearded bloke in the red coat rolling around in the white stuff….No, not SEAN RYDER on his summer vacation in Columbia, but the Famed FRAMINGO CHRISTMAS COMPY!
This year we are doing away with the festive forty and introducing a simple, more compact, and frankly less time consuming, challenge for all our fans out there.
With the usual failed z-list celebs cavorting around the jungle we want to know: Who was the Punk Rock legend that sold out to this abomination of a show?

And the grand prize will be a fantastic Framingo goodie bag including AN EXCLUSIVE CLEAR 7” VINYL RECORD featuring LITTLE JOHN ROCKET & THE SKUZZIES performing BASEMENT & DISSATISFIED all our back catalogue, posters key rings badges & anything else we can find. The vinyl is one of only 12 promotional vinyls made so it is as rare as a good Oasis song!!
