Who are The Regiment? Contrary to popular belief, they aren't involved in Al Queda or Interpol, but are three young men from a small town in Scotland known as Airdrie.
Born in 2007, The Regiment features:
Robbie, heading up lead vocals and guitar duties
Bob on bass and general groove
Paul on, in his own words, 'mentalness'.
2009 sees The band creating some new sounds containing tracks with influences ranging from Radiohead to The Clash and even Queens of the Stone Age. Ideally, their new music will sound like an atomic bomb. Or at least a cruise missle.
The track below, 'Our Glorious Dead', which the band donated to Welcome to Framingoland, details nihilistic feelings and the hypocrisy with regards to nights out in town. That and getting fucked.
